Geographer’s Library by Jon Fasman
Another of these books (like DaVinci Code, Codex, Rule of Four, The Eight, etc.) which weaves history and in this case, alchemy, into a current-day mystery.
Much to my pleasant surprise, I'm getting regular requests for a current book list, so I've upgraded my previously emailed book list to a blog - which I'm updating (more or less) real-time. Now, when you're looking for reading suggestions, you can check it out. LMK what you think of the blog and feel free to add your 2c to my blurbs. And LMK if you've read something great recently. Despite my best attempts to keep up with the piles of books on my "to read" list, the list keeps growing - but I'm ok with "struggling" to keep up :-) Enjoy!
With the exception of the "reject pile" category, all categories below will only bring up recommendations. If, for some obscure reason, you'd like to see the books I read but didn't like/don't recommend, check out the "reject pile". Why bother writing blurbs on mediocre or lousy books? Because I'm curious to see how many books I read in a year - and this is an easy way to keep track.
